Terms of Service

Last updated 27 July 2026

1. Who these terms apply to

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RelayX's parcel coordination service, whether you contact us through our website, WhatsApp, or phone. "You" means the person or business sending a parcel through RelayX (the "Sender") and, where applicable, the person receiving it (the "Receiver"). By requesting a shipment through RelayX, you agree to these Terms.

RelayX is operated by RelayX Logistics Limited, 90, Ajuwon Road, Imole Ayo Bus Stop, Akute, Ogun State, Nigeria.

2. What RelayX does

RelayX coordinates the pickup, transport, and delivery of parcels currently between Ibadan and Lagos. We are not ourselves a transport company: we arrange pickup and last-mile delivery using our own riders, and arrange the inter-city leg through a trusted transport company. We act as the single point of contact for your parcel's journey so you don't have to coordinate directly with a driver, park, or transport company yourself.

3. How a shipment works

  1. You tell us what's moving— pickup city, destination, and roughly what you're sending, through our website or WhatsApp. We aim to reply within 15 minutes with an estimated price.
  2. You show us — before pickup, you provide a photo of the parcel and its actual weight. This is what we price against.
  3. Price is locked in— once we have the photo and weight, the price is fixed. There are no hidden charges added after this point, barring anything covered under "Changes after pickup" below.
  4. Payment — you pay through a secure payment link processed by Flutterwave. We do not see or store your card or bank details.
  5. Pickup— our rider collects the parcel from the location you specify (or, if the shipment is being sent on your behalf by a vendor, from that vendor's location) and confirms pickup with a photo and a one-time confirmation code.
  6. Transit — the parcel moves to its destination city via our transport company partner. We track and share status updates with you at key milestones.
  7. Delivery— our rider delivers to the receiver's address and confirms delivery with a photo and a one-time confirmation code.

4. Pricing and payment

  • Prices are based on pickup and delivery zones, package category, weight, and service level (Economy or Express), and are shown to you before you pay.
  • Payment must be completed before your parcel is booked for pickup, unless otherwise agreed with our team.
  • All prices are in Nigerian Naira and include RelayX's coordination fee.

Changes after pickup

If the parcel's actual size, weight, or contents differ materially from what was declared at the time of quoting, we may contact you to adjust the price before continuing, or to decline the shipment.

5. What you can't send

You must not use RelayX to send:

  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives, or weapons of any kind
  • Illegal drugs or controlled substances
  • Hazardous, flammable, corrosive, or toxic materials
  • Counterfeit or pirated goods
  • Cash, precious metals, or negotiable instruments, unless declared and agreed with us in advance
  • Live animals
  • Perishable goods requiring refrigeration, unless separately agreed with us
  • Human remains or body parts
  • Any other item whose possession or transport is illegal under Nigerian law

RelayX reserves the right to refuse, inspect, or halt any shipment we reasonably believe violates this.

6. Cancellations and delays

  • You may cancel a shipment any time before pickup has been confirmed, for a full refund. Once our rider has confirmed pickup, the shipment fee is non-refundable, since coordination and pickup costs have already been incurred — except where the issue is on RelayX's side (for example, a rider error or a shipment we're unable to complete), in which case we'll refund or resolve it on a case-by-case basis.
  • We aim to meet the delivery windows we communicate, but delivery times depend in part on our transport company partner and factors outside our control (traffic, weather, vehicle breakdown). We will keep you informed of any delays.

7. Liability

We handle every parcel with care, and we photograph and confirm each parcel at pickup and delivery so there's a clear record of its condition at each step. That said:

  • If a parcel is lost or damaged while in our care or our transport partner's care, our liability is limited to whichever is lower: the amount you paid RelayX for that shipment, or the declared value of the parcel if you provided one when booking.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (for example, lost business or lost opportunity) arising from a delay, loss, or damage.
  • To make a claim, contact us within 48 hours of delivery, or within 7 days of the expected delivery date if the parcel never arrives, with your tracking ID and details of the issue.
  • High-value items (cash, jewellery, expensive electronics, and similar) should be declared to us before pickup. Undeclared high-value items are covered only up to the standard liability cap above.
  • Where the loss or damage occurred during the inter-city transport leg, we will pursue the claim against our transport company partner on your behalf — you are not the one who has to chase them — but our own liability to you remains as set out above.

8. Your responsibilities

  • You confirm that you have the right to send the parcel and that its contents are accurately described to us.
  • If you're sending on behalf of someone else (for example, as a vendor shipping to your own customer), you confirm you have that person's consent for us to contact them and deliver to them.
  • You're responsible for providing accurate pickup and delivery information. Delays caused by incorrect or incomplete information you provided are not RelayX's responsibility.

9. Communication

By using RelayX, you agree that we may contact you (or, where applicable, the receiver) by phone, SMS, or WhatsApp about your shipment — for example, pickup coordination, status updates, and delivery confirmation. We do not use these channels to send you marketing messages unless you separately opt in.

10. Complaints and disputes

If something goes wrong, contact us first at +234 802 435 4171 or support@relayx.ng so we can try to resolve it directly. We aim to resolve complaints within a reasonable time and in good faith before either party takes further action. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have to complain to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as our service changes. We'll update the "last updated" date above, and for significant changes affecting an in-progress shipment, we'll let you know directly.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any dispute that can't be resolved directly will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ogun State, Nigeria.
